Strategic Alliance Formed to Jointly Cultivate High-End Technology Talents
Taoyuan, Taiwan – June 12, 2025 — Zhen Ding Technology Group (ZDT), the world’s leading printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturer, announced a landmark strategic alliance with Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (LHU) to launch a high-end technology talent development program. In support of this initiative, ZDT Chairman Charles Shen donated NT$10 million to LHU to train mid and high-level technology professionals, focusing on Thai students. A formal signing ceremony took place on LHU's campus, attended by key representatives including Sun Tao-Heng, Chairman of LHU; Chen-Fu Chien, General Manager of ZDT; Vivian Yang, Deputy General Manager of ZDT; Dheerangkun Uchino, Group Leader of the Thailand Trade and Economic Office (Taipei); and Thira Kasansawad, Investment Consultant. The event marks a significant milestone in deepening industry-academic collaboration and talent cultivation across borders.

Industry Leaders Unite for Sustainable Growth
LHU chairman Sun Tao-Heng praised ZDT’s sustained industry leadership, noting that the company has ranked No.1 globally in PCB manufacturing for eight consecutive years. He highlighted Chairman Shen’s dedication to excellence, particularly his guiding principle: “Don’t do things that keep you awake at night." Chairman Sun said this commitment to integrity and sound decision-making has shaped ZDT into a model of sustainable corporate governance.

Talent at the Core of Innovation
ZDT Chairman Charles Shen emphasized the critical role of talent in driving innovation and sustaining business growth. “Practical skills are key for vocational students to gain a foothold in the industry after graduation. Through this partnership with LHU, we aim to create meaningful job opportunities and inject fresh energy into the PCB and semiconductor sectors.” In addition to the NT$10 million donation, ZDT offers 20 annual scholarships to LHU students, helping them focus on their academic pursuits and seamlessly transition into careers in high-tech industries.

Bridging Taiwan and Thailand through Education
LHU President Dr. Ko Tzu-Hsiang highlighted the university’s expanding academic partnerships with top Thai institutions, including Chulalongkorn University, and national science and engineering universities such as KMITL, KMUTT, KMUTNB, and BUU. These partnerships offer dual-degree and integrated graduate programs designed to cultivate global talent through applied, industry-connected education. “This strategic alliance with ZDT allows us to train the specialized workforce needed for the future while enabling outstanding Thai students to study in Taiwan and contribute to regional industry development,” said President Ko.

Showcasing Advanced Facilities and Future Collaboration
During the visit, Chairman Shen and ZDT leadership toured LHU’s state-of-the-art research centers and labs, including the Semiconductor Device Manufacturing Process Center/Semiconductor Material Analysis and Research Center, 3D digital PCB Design and Surface Mounted Technology Intelligent Manufacture Laboratory. These facilities exemplify LHU’s commitment to hands-on, cutting-edge research and training that are aligned with industry needs.
