Department Introduction

The Department of Multimedia and Game Science was established in 2002. It is the first department in Taiwan to have the word “game” in the name of the department’s. It is expected to start from the basic sciences, pay equal attention to programming and art, and cultivate students who have both theories and practice as multimedia and game production talents. In the academic year 2014, the Department of Multimedia and Game Science began the master’s programs, hoping to combine the teachers and resources of science and technology with humanities and art to make the school’s multimedia and game majors more competitive.

Development Features

  1. Multimedia technology, animation production, game design and planning, 2D, 3D art, and programming capabilities,Game Engine.
  2. Implementing programs such as “Industry College,”“Employment Course,” and “Order-based Employment Course” according to the specific workforce needs of the industry, providing industry-teacher collaborative teaching oriented by employment connection, increasing workplace competitiveness and smooth integration with the workplace.
  3. In response to the trend of science and technology,setting up “Interactive Technology Interdisciplinary Credit Course” and “E-sports Industry Interdisciplinary Credit Course.”

Professional Facilities

“MAC Multimedia Teaching Classroom,” “PC Game Teaching Classroom,” “Multifunction Exhibition Room,” “Digital Content Production Studio,” “Game Design Lab,” “Digital Recording Studio,” “Game Testing and Special Project Room,” and “Digital Content Teaching Lab.”
