On March 13, 2025, Cheers magazine conducted the presentation and award event for the 2025 University Performance Peer Review Survey. Lunghwa University of Science and Technology has been chosen for the seventh consecutive occasion and designated Taiwan’s premier private technology institution. Earlier this year, Lunghwa attained the top position among private technological colleges in the Cheers and Global Views Monthly surveys for “Most Favored Graduates Among Employers.” In this recent acknowledgment, university presidents throughout Taiwan designated Lunghwa as the premier selection among technical and vocational institutions, emphasizing the university’s exceptional educational achievements.

The Cheers University Presidents’ Peer Review Survey has been administered for ten years. In 2025, Lunghwa won significant accolades for its robust performance in worldwide recruitment and academic exchange, exceptional outcomes in external competitions, and the unique strengths of its Semiconductor Engineering Department. The university utilized its location advantages to enhance curriculum development and cultivate students’ professional competencies. The 115 university presidents who participated in the poll notably commended its focus on academia-industry partnership, customized curricula linked with corporate requirements, and “order-based employment programs.” The university utilized its location advantages to enhance curriculum development and cultivate students’ professional competencies.

The institution has proactively forged industry-academia partnerships recently, built industrial R&D centers to facilitate industrial advancements, and enhanced collaborative research outcomes. These initiatives seek to furnish students with practical settings that closely correspond to industry trends and promote the smooth amalgamation of education and employment.

President Ko underscored that, throughout the years, Lunghwa has persistently allocated resources to enhance teachers and equipment for its college-based “industry-simulated practice environments.” The institution currently operates three Ministry of Education-certified practice sites, each valued over a hundred million dollars, surpassing any other technical and vocational university in Taiwan. These facilities provide ample practical learning opportunities, enabling students to acquire valuable professional certifications during their education, rendering Lunghwa graduates very desirable to employers.

In light of the proliferation of generative AI and the imperative for organizations to expedite talent development in this domain, Lunghwa has proactively initiated training for students across several disciplines—including engineering, management, humanities, and design—to utilize AI in addressing real-world challenges. The university was one of the initial 25 institutions the Ministry of Education chose to participate in the “Taiwan Artificial Intelligence College Alliance,” promoting student cross-registration for AI programs and systematically enhancing their AI competencies through integrated curricular resources. President Ko highlighted that Lunghwa is leveraging AI, cloud computing, and other digital technologies to create an innovative campus and borderless classrooms. These innovations foster multidisciplinary creativity and the competencies required for future employment, nurturing technically proficient people who are competitive worldwide and aligned with industrial development trends.
