On February 5, Cheers magazine of Commonwealth Publishing Group released the most recent “2025 Corporates' Favorite University Students Rankings” top 30 lists, in which Lunghwa University of Science and Technology maintained its position as the top private university of science and technology in Taiwan for the sixth consecutive year. Global Views Monthly also released its “2025 Corporates' Favorite University Rankings” in January. Lunghwa was not only included in the overall rankings but also topped several subcategories, including Corporates' Favorite Interns,” “Information Technology Industry's Favorite University Students,” and “Favorite University Students of Small-Cap Enterprises (Capital of 500 Million to 1 Billion NTD)” of private universities of science and technology nationwide.
“With the advent of the AI era, the selection criteria of enterprises are gradually changing. Potentials are now more important than diplomas,” President Tzu-Hsiang Ko underscored that Lunghwa is an applied science and technology university committed to developing industry-ready professionals and providing innovative technical services. Lunghwa has been chosen as one of the 25 universities in the first cohort of AI program alliances by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan to resolve the impact of generative AI and accelerate the development of AI talent. The university actively promotes the cross-enrollment of students in AI programs while integrating educational resources to provide AI courses, thereby enhancing AI capabilities.
The College of Engineering at the university provides a foundational AI technology application program. Students can implement AI in developing intelligent systems and engage in hands-on learning at campus facilities by utilizing AI tools for data analysis, prediction, and optimization. To improve the competitiveness of business operations and decision-making, the College of Management offers a foundational AI decision-making application program that provides business and management students with data analysis and predictive modeling skills. In the interim, the College of Humanities and Design delivers a foundational AI creative application program that enables students to utilize AI for media development, interactive design, and artistic expression.
Since the inception of corporate favorite university rankings by local media, Lunghwa University of Science and Technology has consistently ranked among the top three private technical and vocational universities. It has consistently dominated the Cheers' and Global Views Monthly's “Corporate Favorite University Rankings,” securing the number one spot among private science and technology universities nationwide. Additionally, Lunghwa has been frequently recognized as the top choice among private science and technology universities, surpassing well-funded national technical universities in the Cheers's national top 20 for exceptional university performance.
