Industry-academia collaboration to cultivate talent! This year, the “Taoyuan Link Industry-Academia Empowerment Platform” is piloted by the Department of Economic Development of the Taoyuan City Government. The platform has successfully matched the global PCB leader Zhen Ding Technology Holding Limited with Lunghwa University of Science and Technology for industry-academia collaboration. Chairman Charles Shen personally distributed scholarships to five students during the Zhen Ding Technology Scholarship Award Ceremony on November 21, 2024, at LHU. Director Chang Cheng of the Department of Economic Development, Taoyuan, also attended the ceremony, hoping to deepen industry-academia collaboration, implement talent cultivation, and achieve sustainable corporate development, creating a win-win-win situation for industries, schools, and students.

Chairman Charles Shen was invited to deliver a keynote address following the award ceremony by Chairman Tao-Heng Sun of LHU. Chairman Shen, by the theme “Sharing of Life Cultivation and Practice,” offered profound insights to the faculty and students of Lunghwa on how to capitalize on exceptional management skills and high execution capabilities to “deploy troops and strategize,” thereby establishing a top-tier team and becoming a prominent entrepreneur in the global PCB industry within a mere 13 years.
Chairman Shen, who has a financial background, has effectively led a technology group with annual revenues exceeding NT$100 billion, making Zhen Ding the TSMC of the PCB industry. LHU President Tzu-Hsiang Ko encouraged all Lunghwa faculty and students to learn from and emulate Chairman Shen's leadership and management manner. The ongoing development of industry-academia collaboration with Zhen Ding Technology is anticipated to generate additional employment opportunities for Lunghwa students, propelling a consistent momentum flow.

The Department of Economic Development of Taoyuan City has effectively facilitated a collaboration between Lunghwa University of Science and Technology and Zhen Ding Technology to empower industry-academia collaboration. Zhen Ding Technology awarded 20 scholarships to sophomore, junior, and senior students, each valued at NT$40,000 per semester. Additionally, the executives personnel from the Zhen Ding Tech Group visited LHU's various facilities, including “3D Digital Circuit Board Design and Intelligent Manufacturing Factory,” “5G Communication Module Testing and Adjusting Service Training Center,” “High-speed Electronic Transmission Interface Packaging Design and Testing Talent Training and Technology Center,” “Semiconductor Components Process Center,” and “Power Semiconductor Module Packaging and Testing Factory.” The visits endowed Zhen Ding Technology executives with an on-site understanding of the practical base and field of LHU and its deep integration with the industry, the practical technologies, and the R&D capabilities established.
