The Young Creative Awards of China Times is one of the largest youth competitions in the global Chinese-speaking regions and is highly regarded by students and teachers in advertising, marketing, design, and communication. Known for its professional rigor and high level of creativity, it is acclaimed as the “Youth Oscars” of the industry and is considered the highest honor for youth creativity.
Lunghwa University of Science and Technology won first place in the Yungching Real Estate Advertisement Design Award with the work “Yungching Legend,” created by students from the Quanzhou special program in the Department of Cultural Creativity and Digital Media Design. The director explained that the inspiration for the piece came from the virtue of honesty. The team revisited and recreated similar historical stories, skillfully contrasting the corrupt behavior of ancient officials with the integrity of loyal courtiers, highlighting the importance of honesty. The script was both original and innovative, with natural acting and smooth editing, making the first-place award well-deserved. Additionally, the script also won a merit award, and instructor Chao-Don Liang received the Excellent Instructor Award.
The second-place work in the Yungching Real Estate Advertisement Design Award, “The Bright Humble House,” was also created by students from the Quanzhou special program in the Department of Cultural Creativity and Digital Media Design. Inspired by the ancient poem “Inscription on the Humble House,” the story revolves around Yuxi Liu, the owner of a humble house, who tries to sell his house by embellishing it with the famous poem in front of a Yungching real estate agent named Xiao Wang. Despite the poetic embellishments, Xiao Wang adheres to the principle of “honesty first, then the deal,” deciphering the subtext and honestly quoting the price. The film, adapted from ancient poetry, is witty and vivid, making it a masterpiece.
The film “Inke Tradition,” directed by instructor Yi-Feng Lin, also won second place in the Inke Live Streaming Brand Communication Advertisement Design Award. This work aimed to showcase how people of different genders and backgrounds can display their talents, passions, and lives through live streaming. Yi-Feng Lin was also honored with the Excellent Instructor Award.
Additionally, the work “Home Alone” by students from the Quanzhou special program in the Department of Cultural Creativity and Digital Media Design won third place in the Yungching Real Estate Advertisement Design Award. The work “My Reason for Being Late,” created by students from the same department, won a merit award in the technical category for photography and cinematography. Another work, “Forest Affair,” won a merit award in the technical category for editing. The work “Responsive God Wangwang,” created by students from the PBL Interactive Technology and Multimedia Excellence Program, also won a merit award in the marketing proposal creation category by the Want Want Group.
