The Accreditation Council for Chinese Business Education (ACCBE) approved the 2024 accreditation results, confirming that LHU’s College of Management has once again met the standards, demonstrating its commitment to developing E-generation management talent and continuously improving teaching quality while striving for excellence, earning high recognition from professional evaluation organizations.
President Tzu-Hsiang Ko stated that the university is dedicated to industry-academia collaboration and has maintained a tight relationship with the industry, constantly ranking at the top in the “Most Beloved Graduates” category among private universities. This collaboration has led to numerous opportunities for our students, ensuring they are well-prepared for the job market. In 2017, after the Ministry of Education announced the elimination of departmental assessments, the college requested accreditation to maintain stringent control of educational quality, proving its commitment to achieving high educational standards. The college first achieved certification in 2019, and its recent reaccreditation demonstrates its exceptional educational quality.
President Ko emphasized that Lunghwa has maintained its educational philosophy of “pragmatism, excellence, and innovation” for over 50 years. This philosophy, which emphasizes a “practical application” approach to education, aims to cultivate well-rounded technological talent with both professional skills and humanistic qualities. This approach has allowed LHU students to consistently rank at the top in the “Most Beloved Graduates” category among private universities. Despite the challenges posed by declining birth rates, obtaining rigorous certification from a professional and unbiased third party gives students and parents confidence in the school’s dedication to educational excellence. This strategy is regarded as one of the most effective methods for the university to address issues connected to decreased student enrollment. Lunghwa will continue to improve educational quality, seek excellence and innovation, expand students’ interdisciplinary knowledge and abilities, and integrate study and application.
The ACCBE assessment committee feels that ensuring students “learn effectively” is critical to the school’s long-term development and sustainability; thus, certification prioritizes “goal-oriented education” and encourages “the materialization of management colleges.” The committee encourages Lunghwa University’s College of Management to continue working toward “institutional integration” while pursuing closely related educational goals, involving all members in quality assurance mechanisms at all stages, and continuously developing teachers’ professional practical abilities. This approach seeks to increase resource utilization, student learning outcomes, and graduates’ competitiveness in the job market.
